When I go deer hunting in the late Fall one of my favorite moments in what is now a 52 year tradition, is to take a moment in the middle of the night to walk out into a clearing and to gaze up into the starlit sky.  Our hunting property is in east central Minnesota, far away from the big city lights and there are clearings where you feel like you are inside a gigantic planetarium.  Sometimes I'll lay down on the ground and gaze into the midnight sky and I'll have a warm feeling of connection deep in my belly.  I know that it was out of the life cycle of stars being born and stars dying that all the elements of the chemistry periodic table where created.  

All the chemicals and compounds that make up you and me were created in the belly of a star that at some time during the past 13.7 billion years exploded and released these elements into space that they could be used by other star systems and continually advance to heavier and heavier elements.  The stars also represent the source of energy that created life itself.  And I believe that source of energy exists within each of us that gives us unique meaning and purpose in the universe.  

But it's all tied and connected to this phenomenon we call time.  More appropriately called space time.  For when I look up in the sky its as bright and as full of stars as it will every be, because those stars are actually moving away from us and speeds that exceed the speed of light itself.  This means that my great, great grandchildren, if they still have the opportunity to deer hunt on our family hunting property, will not see the same sky I did.  They will be viewing the sky at a different moment in space time and all of the stars in the sky that I saw will have moved to a new relative position that may or may not be in view of my future lineage.  

The challenging piece of this that is most important in understanding Life's Cosmic Equation is that time itself has purpose.  And during the time you have in the cosmos, you too have a purpose to fulfill in the universe.  The stars that you see are actually doing work and are doing what they were meant to do for the universe.  They're creating new elements that will be used by other solar systems to create new planets.  They have a unique reason for being at this very moment in time... right now!  And you have a similar reason for being right now that you need to act upon.  Your personal mandate is to take immediate action based on your CP, RC and F, to fulfill your purpose and destiny in the universe.  So do you understand the significance of time, this very moment, in your life today?

DON'S WORDS ON CREATIVE POWER: DON'S STORY OF EDIE AND ELTON

 My strong connection to music began on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1979 in Northrop Auditorium on the campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I can still vividly remember the energy and anticipation that evening, it was simply electric! As the house lights went down, some 4,800 fans broke into a thunderous roar as song recording star Elton John took the stage and to my surprise, I was all alone. It was just Elton, his piano and a single spotlight that launched that magical night into flight. That evening three college friends and I experienced the awesome Creative Power of Elton John's music. My immediate reaction to the night included feelings of happiness, euphoria and joy . All of this was a welcome respite from a very difficult and traumatic time in my life.

Years earlier; after my mother Edie’s kindergarten incident, my mother was diagnosed with brain cancer. The family doctor gave my mother only three months to live following a very difficult brain surgery. Against all odds, my mother survived not only months, but years. It wasn't until I was junior year in high school that my mother underwent a second brain surgery, and another hellish round of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. But the toll of the grapefruit-size brain tumor and the multiple surgeries had left my mother blind and in need of constant care.

For the most part, I never knew what it was like to have a normal mother. Early on, I grew up having to be my mother's eyes and daily care giver. But I never looked at it that way. For myself, she was a mom just like any other mom. She was very strong mentally and carried herself with a quiet dignity. Throughout her struggles, she never complained and always exemplied an attitude of gratitude. She is and will always be, my greatest hero.

The Elton John concert took place during a time that the health of my mother was once again seriously deteriorating. Her seizures were coming so often that she had to be hospitalized. She was given a mouth guard to prevent her from biting her own tongue. Eventually, she fell into a coma. I was a college junior at St. John’s University. Witnessing my mother's final weeks of suffering brought intense feelings of pain, isolation and helplessness. It was impossible for me to try to concentrate on his studies. Things got so bad that I seriously considered dropping out of college. It was a difficult time for me, trying to adhere to the gracious standards of my dying mother and yet torn apart by all the pain and misery she had to endure. It just wasn't fair. In fact, it "SUCKED!”

Before the concert on that October 1979 night, I had been an Elton John fan for some time. However, after that night, my loyalty became almost fanatical.  

Somehow, the experience of that evening, tapped into my Creative Power and hardwired a link between music and positive emotions within myself. As crazy as it may sound, music, especially Elton’s, became my tool for escaping anxiety and discovering personal freedom. Music became emotionally hardwired into my spiritual psyche to connect me with the feelings of joy, bliss and euphoria. From that day forward, whenever I am feeling down or depressed, I just plug in to my favorite tunes and it changes my mood almost instantaneously. Within moments, my mind is transported to a magical place: one of positive energy, universal power and divine purpose. 

This is the magnitude that Creative Power can have!

BIRTH & DEATH, A MICRO-STAGE OF EXISTENCE, By Anthony R. Nathe

Let us start with birth. To us, the people of this stage, birth is the beginning. Okay, according to us, if there is birth then, eventually there has to be death. So lets replace birth and death, with also common terms to us, the beginning and the end.

All right, now we have a beginning and end. Physically, to us, this article has to have a beginning and an end. Now let's go a little deeper. As you picked up this article you started to read it. All right, you started at the beginning and will eventually get to our ending. So where is this article now? Physically to us it is lying somewhere on the table. But is it ended? No way! Because by adding this article to your knowledge, or mind, you have created something else. You have given birth to a new thought. So actually this article did not really end. But when these words were put with something else if formed something new. So now we can safely say that this writing has not ended or died, but is continuing in a different form. So if its not ended, then it has continued on until its real ending. But will it end?

Okay, for one brief moment, let me add something new. Did this article actually begin when you started reading it? When I took my thoughts, a pen & paper, put them together in a certain way, I can say I wrote this article, or caused its birth. So it did not begin where the words started, but just took on another form when I put them altogether. Where did the true beginning come from?So now about all we can say, is according to you and I right now, this thought did not start with this article and will not end with this article. It will continue until it takes a completely different shape, just like this article became a thought when it was added to your mind or knowledge.

Now you are going to say that according to everyone who can see and read, that the printing in this article starts at one point and ends at another. So visually, to you and I, it started up there and ends down below somewhere. Tell me honestly, does it really? Why not classify the print of this article as a small micro-stage, and that only. The things that formed it and the shape it takes after the print ends are still in existence.

All right, now let me confuse you some more. Let us say, as an example, the first printed word of this article was birth, and the last printed word is death. Things added together caused its birth and things added together caused its death. Now close your eyes for a second, okay when you open them I want you to stare at the first physical object that you see, no matter what it is. Now tell yourself, what things added together made this object?  Now tell yourself what things added together would destroy it? Now could have all these things been physical?  Some of them were caused by thought which is mental not physical. Now you have the birth of this object and the death of it. So now we have another micro-stage. So now here is what we are left with. If both physical and mental things cause the birth of anything, and both physical and mental causes the death of anything, everything physical and mental is a micro- stage of something else. Then why can't we be a small micro-stage of the same thing? When I say everything I mean even the human race.

If you stayed with me during these past few paragraphs, then ask yourself one last question. What if the earth, as we know it, is one of many more atoms, making up the world of someone else?

The Mini HourGlass Of Life

Here's a great excerpt from a recording that was made between Stephen Jenkinson (The Griefwalker) and interviewer Ken Rose.  In the interview Jenkinson talks about the need for children to become adults and the transition from a life of wanting to a life of giving.  This is a powerful concept that will be further explored in the "Dance With The Elephant" chapter called "The Hourglass Of The Universe".
