Introducing the newly improved Riverside Park in Sauk Rapids

What used to be two parks divided by a bridge across the Mississippi has now become the new Riverside Park in Sauk Rapids.  Phase one of the project will be completed on June 21st of 2010.  The new park includes fishing piers.  There are some dazzling new features to the park that this story helps describe.

Old Glory Run

In this story you’ll hear from Curt Karls about an event that is taking place Saturday May 17, 2008 that will pay tribute to those involved in the Armed Services. The festivities start early in the morning at Springer Park and will continue on past the race.

It's our chance to thank those who have and are serving America and providing freedom around the world. Our goal is to line the race route with "flag-waving" Americans cheering on the runners...especially the soldiers and veterans who are running.

Come early to participate in the opening ceremonies, followed by a 5K Run/Walk and 1K Kids Fun Run. Make sure to join us at the finish line as well to enjoy music and lunch. This will be a fun-filled day with activities for the entire family. Proceeds from this patriotic event will benefit our Disabled American Veterans. Donations will also be accepted on the day of the race.
   

Collegeville Orchards

The fall months are winding down and Collegeville Orchards wants you to know there is still one week to get out and enjoy all of the fun activities they have to offer. This story features an interview with the co-owner of Collegeville Orchards as he tells us about all the fun things to do out at the Orchard. The Orchard is located about a mile away from the St. Johns University campus on Fruit Farm Road.

On Tuesday September 25, 2007 the landscape of the video game industry was forever changed with the release of the third installment of the epic series, Halo. All over the globe, gamers flocked to local media merchants to purchase their copy of the game. The Halo 3 release did so well that it broke the record for sales by an entertainment product over a twenty-four hour period. This story features footage from a Halo 3 release party that was held at the Parkwood Theater in St Cloud, MN.

This past week we visited the world-class BMX champion Alise Post to watch her practice out at Riverview Park BMX track in Saint Cloud. The Riverview Park recently hosted a national competition and it is open Monday and Thursday evenings for practices. This story features an interview with Alise, and it also shows that with the appropriate atmosphere, BMX riding can be a great family activity.
