DigElog Sauk Rapids was on hand at the Storm football game on September 12, 2008 as the undefeated Storm hosted the ROCORI Spartans. The first quarter was back and forth with both team defenses holding their ground. It was the Storm that got on the board first with an electrifying run by star running back Eric Johnson. SECOND HALF

After a back and forth battle in the first half, the second half belonged to the Sauk Rapids Storm. Both Johnson and Meyer ran with conviction and the offensive line opened up big holes for the Storm and they eventually wore out the Spartan defense. The Storm were also able to control the clock en route to an impressive 28 – 7 victory. To see the rest of the highlights, check out this second half story.

Sauk Rapids/Rice vs St. Cloud Apollo boys wrestling

Sauk Rapids/Rice wrestling was in action at home against the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles. The Storm boys dug themselves an early hole as they trailed 22-0. Sauk Rapids/Rice went on to win the next 5 matches and cut the lead to one at 22-21 but the Eagles proved to be too much in the end. Stay tuned to Digelog as Tyler Spiczka goes for the school record for all-time wins and Evan Warnert approaches the 100 win plateau.
