This story is part of DigElog Sauk Rapids' ongoing coverage of the Little Rock Lake Conservation Project. As part of this project, various workers and community volunteers perform tests that help professionals understand problems with the watershed. In this story, we had a chance to interview the project manager Annie Felix. Annie told us about some of the tests that were performed on Little Rock Lake and why they are important.

We had a chance to catch up with Water Plan Technician Annie Felix. She is in charge of recovering waters samples from the creek involved in the Little Rock Creek project. About wo weeks ago I had an opportunity to go along with her as she explained the process of receiving samples and how they are beneficial to the project. Make sure to follow digelog as we will be bringing you along to meetings and more water samplings of the creeks and lakes involved in this project.

The Little Rock Creek watershed has been in the news often over the past few months.  This story includes a visit to a recently held public meeting where water resource experts discuss the research that's been done, the analysis that is still to be completed and the role citizens can play in helping to protect our water resources.
