In our first of a two-part story with the city of Sauk Rapids, City Administrator Ross Olson tells us about a big project that could dramatically change downtown Sauk Rapids. Olson shares some of the details that pertain to the potential deal that would have Walgreen's purchasing the land that is now occupied by City Hall. He also shares what this would mean for the city, possibilities for new city hall locations, and most importantly, funding for a potential new city hall. 2010 Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year

The 2010 Citizen of the Year Award will be given out for the city of Sauk Rapids on April 22, 2010. If you would like to nominate someone, please download the form attached below. 

Featured below, are two of Sauk Rapids past winners of the Citizen of the Year Award. 

Marla Elness of Sauk Rapids has been chosen as the Citizen Of The Year 2007.  A graduate of Sauk Rapids High School and a long term resident of the community, Elness was chosen for the extensive leadershp role she has played in the Miss Sauk Rapids Pageant, the Rapids River Days Parade and the Rapids River Food Fest.

On Thursday January 24, 2008 the Sauk Rapids Chamber gathered to hear a presentation given by Kent Gustafson about his business HIR, LLC. There was a record crowd on hand and they all learned about the important business solutions that HIR could provide business owners.
