The Garden of Innocence is where infants that were abandoned by their family lay to rest after they have sadly passed away. Special ceremonies are held where a community joins together and provides a proper ceremony and burial for the child. As a part of the memorial service, the community gathers in a circle where they pass around the child's urn to let the lost child know that they touched their lives in a special way and give peace to them. A memorial service is given to them so that the world knows that they were here even for their short time. The child is then memorialized with a tombstone, headstone, grave marker or some other type of granite monument.
