The solar storm that showered the Earth on Tuesday, Jan. 24, was one of the strongest such occurrences in recent years.
Most folks on Earth were unaffected by the storm, but for some, it is a great opportunity to catch northwards lights or halo borealis, a natural light effect due to the collision of solar particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere.
One of the most beautiful such videos comes from Helge Mortensen who captured the nature's light show in Norway.
