ROCORI Schools Will Start On September 12th, 2011 As Planned

In this video School Superintendent Scott Staska straightens out any rumors that have been floating in the community.  ROCORI Schools will start on September 12th, 2011 as previously stated and planned.  This is a later than normal start to allow the construction crews adequate time to have the new Middle School and High School remodeling completed.

ROCORI School Safety Meeting : Thursday, Aug 25th

ROCORI Parents and Guardians:

On Thursday, August 25, we are hosting a community meeting to facilitate discussion about the upcoming school year.  The meeting will begin at 7:00 in the new Commons at the High School site.

The meeting will include an overview of the plans being made to address student safety issues.  School board members and district administrators will be present at the meeting.

The first part of the meeting will include information from school officials offering updates on district plans for the year.  The second part of the meeting will move meeting participants into smaller groups to look at several district policies (student discipline, bully prevention, and parts of the emergency response policy) to gather public feedback for district consideration.

Community members are welcome to attend the meeting to share feedback and ideas as the district opens a new school year.

A Community Mural Project In Cold Spring

An Honors Thesis Project by Shannon McEvoy, Art and Hispanic Studies Double Major at the College of Saint Benedict, in partnership with Casa Guadalupe Multicultural Community (CGMC).  The mural takes a multicultural perspective on the history of Cold Spring and hopes for the future.  It will be on the Cleaning Center’s west-facing wall, courtesy of business owner Dan Kippley.  The painting is taking place throughout August into the beginning of September.  Anyone age 10 or older is invited to come paint!  To sign up to paint and learn more about how you can help, contact Shannon at (952)807-6702, email: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> or CGMC at (320)685-3949.
