This photo was a part of the video story published a couple days ago about the last train to Cold Spring. To our delight, Tommy Weber helped fill us in on the specifics of this photo.
LAST TRAIN. Certainly enjoyed the "ride " as a matter of fact my rail history includes as a young boy riding the " DINKY " a one car with engine train that ran from St. Cloud Great Northern Depot to Roscoe and back. Also please note that you have included in the Cannon Ball Express photo , second to last , a man standing to the right of the crossing. That man in his "cop " uniform is my Grandfather Mr. John Weber who stood guard and monitored traffic on 2nd Ave which was a public street running right past the main door of the Cold Spring Granite Company plant. Trains approaching from the East could not be seen and additionally not heard since the large dust collector system located above the West Northwest end of the plant emitted a high piercing sound from the exhaust of the system making a trains whistle or horn inaudible . John Weber enjoyed his last days as Cold Spring Granite Company Cop thanks to the generosity of John Alexander.
Duane ,really appreciate your work, as always a surprise in there somewhere for someone ! kindest regards, tommy weber

It had been 6 years since ROCORI had won their homecoming football game. But 2010 was destined to break the spell. You'll enjoy this short video that shows the last touchdown scored by ROCORI, the final seconds of the game, and the reaction of the players and croud to this very special moment. This may be the first time in recent ROCORI history that the ROCORI fans headed onto the field to enjoy the players and coaches post-game tradition.
