Our story below features a brilliant pitching performance by the Cold Spring Springers Zach Femrite during their 2009 playoff run. Femrite resembled the '91 Twin' ace Jack Morris as he pitched a 10-inning shutout. Femrite Leads Springers Past Outlaws 1-0 in Ten Innings

After beating the Sauk Rapids Cyclones in their home opener of the playoffs, the Cold Spring Springers traveled to Coon Rapids to take on the Soderville Outlaws. The Springers sent Zach Femrite to the mound and the Outlaws countered with their ace as well. Neither team could get any offense going as both pitchers dominated this game. Femrite struck 21 batters in this game and pitched his second shutout in as many outings as the Springers won in extra innings 1-0 in a thrilling playoff game. If you didn’t get a chance to watch them live this is a must-see highlight.
