Funeral services will be 2:00
p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine,
MN for Linda A. Moore, age 58, who died Saturday at her home surrounded by her
family after a courageous battle with cancer. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery,
Belle Plaine, MN.
Relatives and friends may
call from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond
and from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle
Plaine.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Martin Parish Center in St. Martin. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted with the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond.
The ROCORI football season is in full swing as the Spartans have started practice and get ready for their first scrimmage this weekend @ New London-Spicer. In this story you will hear from a number of ROCORI coaches and players as they tell us about the upcoming 2009 season.
Although the team is young, there is plenty of optimism about the Spartans chances in the CLC. The offense will look completely different without Nick Schneider in the backfield. The team will now deploy a spread offense behind senior captain Derek Lieser. Be sure to catch the Spartans first game against St. Cloud Apollo on Friday September 4, 2009 at Apollo.

In honor of the upcoming football season, DigElog ROCORI would like to bring you the home opener from the 2008 ROCORI Spartans' football season. This year the team will open up their CLC schedule at Apollo on September 4, 2009.
One Year Ago
The long awaited football season has arrived. On
August 29, 2008 the ROCORI Spartans opened up their season at home
against CLC opponent, Saint Cloud Apollo. In this story you’ll see all
the highlights from the first half including a DigElog exclusive, the
pre-game presentation by ROCORI Grad Coach Troy Eichers. You’ll also see the Spartan defense swarm the
Apollo backfield. The ROCORI team looked impressive under the guidance of new head coach Joel
Baumgarten.

The Spartans took a 17 point lead into the second half, but a turnover and a fluke touchdown pulled Apollo within 10 points. The Eagles success can be attributed to their ability to run the ball to the left side. However, some adjustments by the Spartan defense, and a phenomenal touchdown run by Nick Schneider sealed the win for the Spartans as they got coach Baumgarten his first win in the CLC. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Christian Women, Catholic Aid Association and St. Julian’s Mission Group.
Last month the St. Boniface Parish Center held the 2009 Hometown Pride Days Royalty Pageant. This year, two lovely ladies were crowned. In this story you will hear from Mary Staples, owner of the Bella Rosa Salon in Cold Spring. 2009 was the first year that Staples directed the pageant, and she did a wonderful job. You will also hear from DigElog ROCORI’s own Duane Kuss as this was his first year being the emcee. Typically, Scott Staska would perform those duties, but he was unable to this year. Kuss filled in admirably as there were a number of moments where he had to be quick on his feet. Stay tuned to DigElog ROCORI for more coverage from the 2009 Hometown Pride Days events.
