Three community volunteers will be recognized for their contribution and service to the community at the 2008 Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce Holiday banquet. This story features one of the recipients, Laurel Theis.
Laurel and her husband John have two children, Trevor and Tressa and live in Cold Spring. Laurel works as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at both the Assumption Home and the Albany Nursing Home. Laurel Theis was chosen this year to recieve the Cold Spring Hometown Pride Award for her work with the Girl and Boy Scouts program and for her work in the Project ASTRIDE program where special needs people have the opportunity to ride horses. Laurel was nominated by both Lori Dornburg and Jaci Hommerding.
