Once again Cold Spring and the greater surrounding area gathered at St. Boniface Parrish for the annual Breakfast with Santa. The Cold Spring Lions Club hosted the event with help from the Cold Spring Chamber of Commerce. Many families came out to eat the delicious pancakes, and the children waited in line to put in their last Christmas gift requests. Thank you to the many volunteers that helped to make this event a success. See you next year at the 2009 Breakfast with Santa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Nicholas H. Heinen, age 97, who died Sunday at the Koronis Manor, Paynesville.  Burial will be in the St. Martin Parish Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Friday morning in the St. Martin Parish Hall, St. Martin.

ISABELLE MARIE CEBULLA DURENBERGER * Obituary

Age 97

Minneapolis

August 9, 1911 – December 24, 2008

Passed away December 24th in her residence at Catholic Eldercare in Minneapolis where she lived the last nine years with loving caregivers. Isabelle was born to Ferdinand J. (Fred) Cebulla, master car builder with the Great Northern Railway, and Josephine (Jessie) Pukrop Cebulla in Great Falls, MT. August 9, 1911. 

An internment service will be held at 10 AM Saturday January 3rd, at St. John’s Abbey Church with internment at the St. John's Abbey Cemetery in Collegeville.  A celebratory gathering will follow at St. John the Baptist Parish Center.  Memorials are preferred to Catholic ElderCare at 817 Main Street NE, Minneapolis, MN. 55413.  Arrangements entrusted with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, MN (320) 685-7762.

Grand Piano Christmas Duet

This week DigElog ROCORI is featuring music videos and concerts of today and yesterday. Each day highlights and special songs from Christmas music events will be presented for your holiday enjoyment.

Today we present a special piano music event that rarely happens in the big city let alone in the Land of ROCORI.  Here is a Christmas Grand Piano Duet performed by Cold Spring Area Maennerchor accompanists Ingrid Loewen and Bette Kuss.   

Hear "Go Tell It On the Mountain", "Angels We Have Heard On High" and  "A Merry Christmas Medley".

This music video comes from a concert performed in Melrose at the High School Auditorium on December 15th, 2005.  Both the Maennerchor and the Melrose High School Choir performed during this special holiday event.
