Although school is out and the baseball season is over, DigElog ROCORI has all of the highlights from the ROCORI baseball season. In the opening round of the section tournament, the Spartans took on the Foley Falcons. As usual, the Spartans looked for a solid performance from senior pitcher Luke Vossen, and as usual he delivered. In this video, you’ll see part one of a two-part story, as this game went into extra innings. The Spartans were up against a dominant lefty from Foley, and it took exceptional pitching to simply keep them in the game.

As ROCORI went into the sixth inning, they trailed the visiting Foley Falcons 3 - 0. Luke Vossen was pitching great, but the offense couldn’t get anything going. Fortunately, the bats would wake up just in time to prolong the Spartans’ season as they rallied to tie the game in the sixth. A crucial two-run single by Brian Hansen would help push the game into extra innings while Luke Vossen summoned Jack Morris’ 1991 game 7 spirit and pitched through the 10th inning for a victory.
