In this version of the “ROCORI Update,” you’ll hear from the three city administrators in the Land of ROCORI. In the first segment, Rena Weber tells us about the finishing stages of the Broadway construction project. She also reminds us that if the parking lots of various Rockville public properties are full, please do not park in adjacent residential areas. If the lot is full, you must find parking in designated public parking areas.
Larry Lahr tells us about the importance of keeping trees and shrubs properly groomed above city boulevards. It is the homeowners’ responsibilities to make sure that signs are not covered and that commercial trucks are able to pass under hanging branches. Also, if you know a neighbor that may not realize their trees are becoming an issue, please feel free to politely remind them. The city would appreciate as much help as possible on this matter. Lastly, if you have large or hard to reach branches, please contact an arborist to come help take any difficult branches off of your property.
In the final installment of the city update, Richmond City Administrator Dan Coughlin asks that the citizens of Richmond be patient in regards to the new water system. There will be more information coming in your next city water bill. He also reminds us that this week the city will be going out on their nuisance inspections so if you have not taken care of some of the junk or debris in your yard, now would be a good time. Lastly, there will be an informational meeting at the Richmond Civic arena on June 19, 2008 to discuss the Main Street construction project. Thanks to all the citizens of each community for tuning in and enjoy the beautiful summer weather.
