My wife and I have just completed another year of spending the lunch hour on Thursdays with the students at The ROCORI High School. We have done this for a couple of years now and have had the opportunity to get to know the students, teachers and staff.
Over this period of time we have been proud of the way the students have presented themselves. They are polite, pleasant to be around, and well groomed. We also have not noticed this problem of 'obesity' we hear on the news all the time. This is true of at least ninety-eight percent of all the students.
We have appreciated this opportunity to inter-act with the students and have enjoyed getting to know them. We hope the students have received half the benefits we have received from our time with them. It has certainly helped to keep us young.
We feel it is important to recognize these positive aspects as so much of the time we only hear about the problems in the schools. The parents and residents of the ROCORI high school should be very proud of the students. Not just proud of them for their academic or athletic abilities, but proud of them as people. People that do a great job of representing our community in all they do.
We also realize that how the students represent themselves is a product of their parents, the community that supports them, their teachers and the staff at the High School.
Having spent as much time as we have at the school we recognize the great job being done by all. In talking with Mr. Bizal he has given the credit for what has transpired at ROCORI to his staff and the teachers. We would like to say that this wouldn't have ocurred without the fantastic job Mr. Bizal has done in providing the leadership he has, over the past few years. While we are very happy that he has been given the opportunity to further his career, we will miss him very much.
