VIOLENCE... OUR KIDS... VIDEO GAMES
If you have children or grand children, this is a must see 5 minute
video. A child will witness over 200,000 acts of violence in mass
Media before he or she turns 18. Research indicates that this same
media violence has a negative impact on natural brain development.
Stephanie Stracke is a ROCORI Student Councilor and a member of the
Project SERV staff, a special task force brought together following the
shootings at ROCORI in 2003. In this story Stephanie, who has her own
teenagers at home, talks about how the exposure to screen violence can
cause increased aggression, fear and desensitization to real life
violence.

The ROCORI Drumline began in 1976 and has been a member of the Minnesota Percussion Association since the organization was formed in 1992. The 2005-6 Drumline has 28 members under the direction of Percussion instructor Dick Rausch.

Local Collector Reflects On KIRBY PUCKETT
The "Land Of ROCORI" has a great tradition of producing great baseball players. Our Cold Spring Springers have been to the State Tournament 40 times over the past 81 years and have won it 7 times.
In a town with such a strong baseball tradition, it might not be surprising to find out that we have our own "Kirby Puckett Pl". This street sign is located on the corner of a home that houses a mini Kirby Puckett museum.
In this story you'll meet Ken who has collected over 2500 unique Kirby Puckett baseball cards. From mugs to bobble-heads, Ken has most of what has ever been produced representing the baseball career of Hall of Fame Kirby Puckett.

Last week a group of Russian Building Products professionals made a visit to Stonecrafters in Rockville. Vern and Kurt Salzl provided the contingent with a tour of the fabricating facility, a trip to the Cold Spring Granite pit and a visit to the new Rockville City Hall.

The ROCORI Jazz Choir is an elite combination of High School singers who try out for the privilege to be a part of this special performing group. Students are chosen both for their singing skills and voice quality to match the total integrated sound of the group.

This story includes many great shots of people from around the community who helped to plant the Rain Gardens over a two day period. 40-50 persons took part in the planting and did a fantastic job in the 80 degree plus scorching temperatures. There were smiles on everyone's faces and the word fun could be heard floating through the group throughout the day.
