Put Flags To Half Staff
Cold Spring has many residents that are highly concerned about flag etiquette. So, I thought I'd let you know that Governor Pawlenty ordered the flags at half staff throughout Minnesota. They are to remain at half staff until dusk on September 20. My understanding is that the purpose for the order is for the Katrina victims through 9/20, and for the passing of Chief Justice Renquist until the 9/13th.
If you have any questions, more information can be found on the State's Northstar website.

Clean reminder and help needed.
Each year the Chamber hosts a fall cleanup at the ROCORI high school parking lot. This year's will be on Saturday, September 17th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you need information you can watch the Record or call the chamber at 685-4186.
John Frischmann is organizing the event, and he's about 4 or 5 volunteers short of where he needs to be. Please let him know ASAP if you or anyone you know can help him make this event a success. He'll need help with collecting money, directing traffic and unloading. Please let him know by e-mail if you can help, his address is [email protected]

COLD SPRING STREETS SEALCOATED Sept 8. 2005
The City will be sealcoating in various areas throughout the City tomorrow,
unfortunately the notice that we published in the record is appearing today.
We try to time the published notice closely with the actual work, but
sometimes (as in this case) the contractor's schedule changes and property
owners are left with little notice. There are NO PARKING signs getting set
up today wherever the work will occur tomorrow.
The excess rock will get swept starting early next week.
There will also be some cracksealing work going on in the near future. This
causes minor traffic congestion, but should NOT involve street closures for
extended periods of time.
If you have questions it may be best to contact Public Works Director Paul
Hoeschen at 685-3524.
Have a great day!
