Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond, MN for Lloyd “Jim” Johnson, age 73, who died Friday peacefully at his home surrounded by family after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond.
Jim was born in Baldwin Township, St. Croix County, WI to Lloyd and Eleanor (Moll) Johnson. He married Patricia Shirley Poslusny on November 8, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN. Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and going ‘up north’ with friends. Jim, along with his wife Patricia, owned and ran Twilight Acres Resort on Big Lake in Richmond, MN. He was a member of Richmond Rod and Gun Club and Big Lake Aquatic Association. Jim was known by all for his generosity, sense of humor and infectious laugh!
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia; children, Ron (Sue) Johnson, Kim (Dave) Stein, Nancy Tong Johnson, Molinda Dufner; 9 grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Brandan Johnson, Ashley Tong, Jennifer Tong, Ryan Tong, Sean Dufner, Blake Dufner, Shayla Dufner and Chance Stein; sisters, Marilyn Stensland, Barbara Arens, Sharon Gross, and Shirley Arnoldy; brother, Richard Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rex Allen Johnson; twin brother, Floyd Johnson and brother, David Johnson.
