Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Rockville, MN for Dolores Hansen, age 75, who died on Friday surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Rockville.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. The Christian Women will pray a rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. Visitation will continue on Monday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the church in Rockville.
Dolores was born in Omaha, NE to Azize and Josephine (Koory) Saidy and was raised in Colorado Springs, CO. She married Charles Hansen, Sr. on September 3, 1955; 6 months after meeting each other, in Colorado Springs, CO. Dolores cherished her family and loved their home full of children. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed playing cards (bridge and 500), board games, crossword puzzles, bowling, buying presents, reading, being in the kitchen cooking or baking, visiting with relatives and friends, singing in the choir-she had a beautiful soprano singing voice. She was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Christian Women and TOPS.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Charles, Sr. Children - Susan (Curt) Sauer of Cold Spring, Patty (Gordon) Tamble of Cold Spring, Jeannie Hagmeier (fiancé, Donald St. Andre`) of Merrimack, NH, Charles, Jr. “Chuck” (Lisa) of Rockville, Robert of Avon, Thomas (Lynn) of St. Joseph, Peter (fiancé, Kara Gaffy) of Sartell, Christopher (Julie) of Edina, Jonathan (Jennifer) of Rogers; 22 grandchildren - Nathan, Elizabeth, David Sauer; Gregory, Nicole, Robert, Patrick Tamble; Robert, Lindsey Hagmeier; Charles III, Sarah, Benjamin Hansen; Mikala, Lacey Hansen; Samuel, Joseph Hansen; Alexa, Timothy, Madalynn Hansen; Cole, Adrian Hansen; Maximus Hansen; sisters - Patricia (Ken) Treinen, Sonia (Tom) Willbrand, Margaret (t Eugene) Hays, Kathleen Saidy, Linda (Victor) Lamke; brother - Ronald Saidy (Barbara App); special sister-in-law - Mary Jean Czajkowski.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
