Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2008 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Agnes Rausch, age 88, who died Tuesday at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Christian Women, Catholic Aid Association and American Legion Auxiliary on Thursday evening.
Agnes was born in Richmond, MN to Nicholas and Theresia (Braegelmann) Rothstein. She married Alphonse Rausch on November 4, 1946. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Agnes enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, gardening and bingo. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, Catholic Aid Association, Christian Women and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Mary Mistek (Patrick) Plantenberg of Townsend, MT, Irene (Marv) Miller of Litchfield, Jean (Larry) Brulla of Richmond, Joan (Ed) Brulla of Richmond, Donna (Dave) Vogt of Cold Spring, Ray “Roach” (Shirley) of Richmond, Lori (Dave) Halliday of Spicer, Grace (Steve) Girard of Onamia, Sharon (Jeff) Teeple of South St. Paul, Judy (Mike) Klever of Sartell; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gregor, Marcellus, Alfred, Clarence, Ralph, and Nick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alphonse (1992); brothers, Norbert, Paul, Edmund, Leo, Richard, and Leander; sisters, Aegidia, Leona, and Lucille.
