Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Esther Schoenberg, age 87, who died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Entombment will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. St. Boniface Christian Women will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
Esther was born in Spring Hill, MN to John and Agnes (Humbert) Loehr. She married Arthur Schoenberg on June 9, 1941. Esther loved and cherished her family and spending time with friends. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, gardening, embroidery, baking and playing cards - solo, 500 and cribbage. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish and the Christian Women.
Survivors include her; children, Carol (Bob) Crane of Anoka, Allen of Coon Rapids, Sharon (Pat) Timp of Albany and Earl (Irene) of Sartell; grandchildren, Bob, Bryan and Bruce Crane, Michele Timp-Pilon, Cheryl and Stacy Timp; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Ellen Isaacson of Sartell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alice (Pete) Williams, Rose Schoenberg, Lillian Schoenberg and Elmer Gerding.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Art (1999); daughter, Ruth (2007); parents; brothers and sisters, Edwin, Leo, Susan Novitzki and Marie Binczik.
