Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Helen A. Wieber, age 93, who died Wednesday at the Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring, MN. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Golden Smiles Senior Citizens, Catholic Order of Foresters and Catholic Aid Society.
Helen was born in St. Martin, MN to John and Elisabeth (Bruemmer) Nett. She married Norbert Jacobs, Oct 1940. Norbert and Helen operated a Dairy Bar in Richmond for many years. Norbert passed away May 6, 1984. Helen married Leroy Wieber on May 16, 1986. Leroy passed way on August 15, 1999. She worked as an LPN at the Richmond and Paynesville Hospitals until her retirement in 1984. Helen enjoyed playing cards and visiting with her many friends. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, Catholic Aid Association, Catholic Order of Foresters and Golden Smiles.
Survivors include her step-children, Wayne (Carol) Wieber, Gary (Barb) Wieber, Ron (Katia) Wieber, Dean (Margie) Wieber, Mary Lee Wieber (Carmen); two grandchildren, Jill Jacobs and Cory Jacobs; one great-grandchild, Skeye Jacobs; many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Norbert Jacobs and Leroy Wieber; son, John Jacobs (Nov. 2003); brothers, Joe Nett, Theodore Nett; sisters, Gertrude Rossmeisel, Susan Klassen, Ann Nett and Mary Dold.
