Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007
at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Erica A.
Dockendorf, age 92, who died Monday morning at the Assumption Nursing home
surrounded by her loving family. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00
– 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold
Spring. The Christian Women, American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries will pray a
rosary at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday
evening.
Erica was born in Eden Valley, MN to Michael and Emma (Bauer) DeMorett.
She married Gilbert Dockendorf on December 26, 1943 in Laurel,
Maryland. Erica was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed quilting, playing
cards and spending time with her family. Erica was active in the Legion
and VFW Auxiliaries and she loved to volunteer and help anywhere, at
any time! She was a member of St. Boniface Parish, Christian Women,
American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.
Survivors include her children, Janet (Tim) Stein of Cold Spring, Ken
(Sue) of Waite Park, Karen (Dan) Wippler of St. Joseph and Marlene
Dockendorf (special friend, George Robke) of Lino Lakes; 9 grandchildren and
7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert (1999); parents; son,
Harold (1974) and 5 siblings.
