Lorraine Lee McKenna-Hollerud

age 76

Cold Spring

March 31, 1931 – August 31, 2007

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN for Lorraine Lee McKenna-Hollerud, age 76, who died Friday at the Foley Nursing home.  Burial will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery, Cold Spring.

Relatives and friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. 

Lorraine was born in Minneapolis, MN to Leroy and Loretta McKenna. She was a 1948 graduate of North High in Mpls. and a 1949 graduate of the Mpls. Business College.  Lorraine worked as an administrative assistant in the Mpls. Public Schools for many years.  She enjoyed her family, traveling and anything to do with cardinals.   

Survivors include her children, Ken (Nadine), Mark (Leslie) and Jeff (Bonnie); sister, Lois (Vilas) Baumgardt; 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Christine E. Ramler

age 91

Cold Spring

April 22, 1916 – August 19, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2007 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Christine E. Ramler, age 91, who died Sunday at the Good Shephard Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring and Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Narthex of St. Boniface Church, Cold Spring.  The Catholic Aid Association and Christian Women will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.

Christine was born in Milwaukee, WI to Mathias and Barbara (Hurth) Lang. She married Leonard Ramler on October 14, 1935 in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Roscoe, MN.  Christine was a cook at the ROCORI Elementary School for many years, retiring at the age of 72.  She was active in the Christian Mothers while she was living in Cold Spring.  Family and her Catholic faith were the two most important things in her life.  Christine will always be remembered by her family and friends as a very kind and loving person; a person who gave everything of herself and yet, didn’t ask for anything in return.

Survivors include her children, Sr. Verenice Ramler, OSB, St. Benedicts of St. Joseph, Virginia (Edward) Beuning St. Cloud, Robert (Mary) of Watkins, Carolyn (Lyle) Frerich of St. Cloud, Gerald of St. Joseph, Glendoris (Jerry) Stowe of St. Cloud,  Francis (Debbie) of Cold Spring, Eugene (Elaine) of Sutherlin, OR, Yvonne (John) Maske of Brainerd, Mary Kay (Mike) Gisi of Longview, TX,  Mark (Carol) of Rochester, Rosi of Rochester; 29 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Celcia Theis, Frances Brossard and Marie Schaefer; brother, Benny Lang.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard (Dec. 1977); parents; sisters, Betty Van Hoorik, Susan Kastch and Theresa Liestman; brother, Mathias “Math”; grandsons, Clayton Frerich and Larry Frerich.

Richard “Dick” Neyssen

age 63

Rockville

May 4, 1944 – August 11, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Rockville, MN for Richard Neyssen, age 63, who died Saturday at his home after a battle with cancer. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by the members of the Rockville Fire Department.

Dick was born in St. Cloud, MN to Louis and Theresa (Birk) Neyssen. He married Janet Borgerding on September 12, 1964 in Sacred Heart Church, Freeport, MN. Dick worked for Fingerhut and Gran-a-Stone. He was a distributor for Schweigert and MN Gold Meats. Dick was employed by Pleasureland RV Center for the past 9 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid horseman. Dick was a member of Rockville Lions Club (Melvin Jones Award Recipient), Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Retired member of the Rockville Fire Department, and the Rocky Riders Saddle Club.

Survivors include his wife, Jan; children, Rick (Kathy Young) Neyssen and Michelle (Mike) Pfeiffer; grandchildren, Riley and Shuler Neyssen and Jacob and Samantha Pfeiffer; siblings, John P. (Kathy) Neyssen, Michael (Irene) Neyssen, Kathy (Dan) Gorecki, and Joyce Neyssen; along with many nieces and nephews.
