Philomene (Phil) Salzer

Age 81

Cold Spring

January 26, 1926 - April 21, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Philomene ìPhilî Salzer, age 81, who died Saturday at St. Benedicts Center, St. Cloud.  Burial will be in the St. Boniface parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.  The Christian Women will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Phil was born in Saskatchewan, Canada to John and Anna (Dingmann) Kohorst. She married Leo Salzer in St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Martin, MN.  Phil traveled by train at the age of three from Canada to Farming, Minnesota.  She worked in food service at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud State University, St. Benedict Convent and the Veteran Administration Hospital.  Phil and Leo were in a dairy farm ëpartnershipí until 1994 when they moved into Cold Spring.  She loved to spend time with her family, bake, cook and embroider many different things.  She is a member of St. Boniface Parish and Christian Women.

Survivors include her husband, Leo of Cold Spring; children, Mike (Joyce) of Barnum, Don of Sartell, Myrna (Chuck) Loso of Willmar, Linda (Terry) Loso of St. Joseph, Laura (Paul) Hemmingson of Sioux Falls, SD and LeRoy (Sandy) of Cold Spring; sister, Lenore Drontle of Cold Spring; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edwin; sisters, Adeline Burg, Marcella Gruber, Sr. Johnette, Marina Klehr; grandchildren, Chad Salzer, Kyle Loso and Jessie Salzer.

Eileen T. Boeckers

Age 82

Cold Spring

April 11, 1925 - April 20, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Eileen T. Boeckers, age 82, who died Friday at the Samaritan Bethany Home in Rochester surrounded by her loving family.  Burial will be in the St. Boniface parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring and from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Narthex of St. Boniface Church in Cold Spring.  The Christian Women and Knights of Columbus will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Wenner Funeral Home.

Eileen was born in Elrosa, MN to Jack and Elizabeth (Fladung) Tschida. She married Casper Boeckers on September 16, 1947 in St. Paulís Catholic Church, Sauk Centre, MN.  Eileen always had a special love for children.  She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, canning and needlework.  She was a member of St. Boniface Parish, Christian Women and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include her children, Marie (Richard) Booth of Rochester, Duane (Alice) Boeckers of Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Kelly (Chris) Tedrick, Ryan Booth, Kim (Scott) Sowinski and Colin Boeckers; great-granddaughters, Olivia and Nora Tedrick; sister, LaVerne Brilla of St. Paul.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Casper (2004); parents; brothers, Virgil and Harold.

Verna (Heying) Stanis

Culver City, CA formerly of Richmond, MN

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond (151 Oakwood Ave. S.E.) for Verna (Heying) Stanis who died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in Culver City, CA.  Inurnment will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Cemetery, Richmond, MN.

Verna was born in Richmond, MN to Gregor and Helen (Torborg) Heying.  She married William Stanis on January 8, 1981.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; step-sons, Bill, Jr. and Eric; 3 step-grandchildren; sisters, Millie (Karl) Berndt, Julie (Lloyd) Nierenhausen, Cathy (Larry) Thielen, Helen (Manny) Ressemann, Geri (Roger) Rausch, Dottie (Butch) Illig and Peg Anderson.  She is also survived by Sandra Klassen and Diane Heying, her nieces whom were raised as daughters by Verna.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gene Heying and sister, Eileen Becker.

Norbert Henry Hemmesch

Age 77

Richmond

May 14, 1929 - April 10, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2007 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Norbert Henry Hemmesch, age 77, who died Tuesday at the Mother of Mercy Home in Albany.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday (TODAY) and from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond (151 Oakwood Ave. S.E).  Parish prayers at 4:00 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Golden Smiles and Knights of Columbus at 4:30 p.m. Thursday evening.

Norbert was born in Munson Township, MN to Henry and Margaret (Feinhage) Hemmesch. He married Mildred Anna Jungels on October 25, 1950 in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN.  Norbert farmed west of Richmond all his life.  He loved farming, spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Twins fan.  He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his children, Ronald, Denis (Michelle) of Richmond, Linus of Eden Valley, Bernice (Warren) Eiden of Holdingford, Shirley (Ervin) Boeckers of Adell, WI and Dorothy Culver of Avon; brothers, Ervin of Roscoe, Edward, Harold, Alex, and Cyril all of Richmond; 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (2004); infant twin daughters and sister, Loretta Klehr.

Mark A. Didier

Age 97

Marty (Pearl Lake)

April 25, 1909  - April 3, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty (Pearl Lake), MN for Mark A. Didier, age 97, who died Tuesday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church in Marty. Parish prayers will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening in the church.

Mark was born in Wilmont, MN to Alexander and Lena (Holper) Didier. He married Pat Trisco on October 19, 1937 in Sauk Centre, MN. Mark was a heavy equipment mechanic and loved gardening, mowing and growing his large pumpkin patch. He is a member of Holy Cross Parish, 49er's Union and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #870, Park Rapids.

Survivors include his daughters, Jeanette Parton and Barbara Sanders; brothers and sisters, Alexander (Ann), Joseph (Ann), Loretta Neils, Sally Thomte, Jean, Evangeline (Florian) Noll; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pat Didier; grandsons, Joe Sanders and Jon Parton; son-in-law, Carl Sanders.

Memorials are preferred to Holy Cross School.
