Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Verena Terres age, 92 years, 11 months and 6 days, who died Monday at St. Benedicts Center, St. Cloud. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Wenner Funeral Home (151 Oakwood Ave. S.E.) Richmond.
Verena was born in Lake Henry, MN to Simon and Gertrude (Laubach) Meyer. She married Art Terres on September 28, 1938 in St. Margaretís Church, Lake Henry, MN. The couple farmed and owned and operated Artís Place in St. Martin for 18 years. Verena loved to play cards, fish, embroider, crochet and bowl. Most of all she enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was a member of St. Martin Parish and Christian Women.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Joyce and Roger Buerman; granddaughters, Rebecca Buerman and Amanda Buerman (Paul Gertken); sister and brother in law, Mary Ann and Jerome Terres.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Art (1994), parents; brothers, Art and Clarence Meyer and infant sister, Rose.
Special thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff who took care of Verena over the years. Especially to the staff at St. Benedictís Center, Heartland Hospice and Good Shepherd Home.
