Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Marcus Mark Schwagel, age 83, who died Sunday in the St. Cloud Hospital.
Relatives and friends may call after 4p.m. Tuesday (TODAY) and from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond (151 Oakwood Ave. S.E.). Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by the Golden Smiles and Knights of Columbus at 4:30 p.m.
Mark was born in Richmond, MN to Frank and Frances (Hammer) Schwagel. He married Julia Louise Moser on April 25, 1949 in Assumption Church, Eden Valley, MN. Mark served in the US Army in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He was a machinist for FMC and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his loving wife, Julia Louise; children, Linda (Bill) Mueller, Gary, Lois (Dale) Rasmusson, Ron (Debbie) and Laurie (Mick) Wragg; grandchildren, Melissa, Rachel, Grant, Jennifer, Blake, Reid, Nicole, Angela and Julia; brother, Ralph; sisters, Helen, Virginia and Burnie; many nephews, nieces and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
