Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Vincent A. Guggenberger, age 78, who died Tuesday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday (TODAY) at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring and from 9:00 ñ 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Narthex of St. Boniface Church. Cold Spring Fire and Rescue, Cold Spring Legion and Knights of Columbus will pray at 7:00 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 8:00 p.m.
Vince was born in Collegeville Township, MN to Vincent and Mary (Meyer) Guggenberger. He married Clara Zimmer on May 24, 1955 in St. Joseph, MN. Vince was a Korean War Veteran. He was a Union Electrician for 43 years, retiring in 1991. If Vince wasnít telling a story, ëinventingí a better way to do things, being called by someone in the community to ëhelpí do a project, you could find him fishing, hunting or crafting. Vince had the unique gift of talking to people, which he did well! He will be missed by all. He was a member of St. Boniface Parish, Knights of Columbus, Chapel Hill Committee, I.B.E.W. 292 & 343, Waite Park Rifle Club, Korean Last Mans Club, Cold Spring Legion, Charter member of Cold Spring Sportsmanís Club, past; City Treasurer, Legion Commander and Fire Chief.
Survivors include his loving wife, Clara; daughters, Mary (Jeff) Peterson of Sauk Rapids, Jeanne (Phil) Hill of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Doug and Emma Hill and Dan and Jessie Peterson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rosalia Jungels and Olive Schroeden; brother, Paul Guggenberger.
