Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2005 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in St. Nicholas, MN for Alfred H. Hommerding, age 75, who died Wednesday at the Saint Cloud Hospital.  Burial will be in parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.  The St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622 will pray at 6:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.

Alfred was born in St. Nicholas, MN to George and Margaret (Dahm) Hommerding.  He married Ellen Jonas on September 24, 1952 in St. Martin Church, St. Martin, MN.  Alfred worked at the Cold Spring Granite Company for many years.  He was a farmer and he owned and operated Hommerding Repair.  Alfred enjoyed his family, friends and loved to dance!  He was a member of St. Nicholas Parish and St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Ellen; children, Ronald (Pauline) of Cold Spring, Dennis (Susan) of St. Nicholas, Donald (Diane) of Cold Spring, DonnaMae (Rocky) Lehmeier of St. Augusta and Gerald (Michele) of Cold Spring; grandchildren, Sheila, Tricia, Ryan and Angie Hommerding and Amy, Vicky, Nicholas and Jesse Lehmeier; sister, Mary Jane (Fritz) Theisen.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Arthur Sr. and Harold.
