It was back in 2005 that DigElog did an exclusive interview with Leroy Glazier and the custom made guitar he uses hand made by his brother. It was the day Leroy was inducted into the Midwest Rock Country Hall of Fame, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. When you view this story you'll be immediately impressed by Leroy's pleasant and caring demeanor. This was a caring and loving man that truly enjoyed music and the people he played for. This story has been copied on numerous video distribution websites and based on our rough statistics it's been seen literally thousands of times online.

We take great pride in publishing this story one more time in honor of this great man and the contribution he made to the world around him.

We'll miss your music Leroy... and we'll miss you!

It may get a little long, for that I apoligize.

My old friend Leroy Glazier and his family are having to deal with a struggle that nobody should ever have to go through.

This past December, Leroy
was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. After extensive surgery in
January, the cancer was thought to be in a remissive state. Then in May
of this year, Leroy found out that the cancer had returned to his pancreas and liver. As you can well imagine, Leroy and his family have experienced very high medical costs, and those costs will continue.

So a benefit gathering has been planned for Sunday August 10th at
Dusty's Bar & Grill in St. Cloud, MN. This event will get under way
at 2 pm and go until ?. Admission is just $10.00 and includes a
spaghetti dinner and live music from Kevin Lange and the Mississippi
Drifters along with many, many special guest performers. There will
also be a raffle drawing with a lot of great prizes. Monetary donations
are also being accepted and are very, very much appreciated. Donations
can be sent to: Leroy Glazier Donation Fund, Wells Fargo Bank, 115 1st Street North, Sauk Rapids, MN 56379.

PLEASE ATTEND THE "LEROY GLAZIER BENEFIT". Sunday, August 10th, Dusty's Bar... east St. Cloud.

The above is some information taken off the poster for the benefit, now let me add a personal comment.

Leroy has lived, worked and
performed in the central Minnesota area for almost 40 years. I have
know him for close to 35 of those years, and a more generous man you
will not find anywhere. He has always been willing to sit down with
someone to pass on musical advice or information, or just visit for a
while. Leroy Glazier
is always one of the first to step up and donate his time and talents
when they are needed, so now, how about we return to favor.

I know many of you are familiar with Leroy's
work from the Midwest Country Show on RFD-TV. Some of you like myself
have been fortunate enough to enjoy his talents and personality in
person on the same stage.

Leroy does not have a
computer, so if you would like, you can pass along any well wishes and
comments on this post, I will print them off, and make sure Leroy gets to read them.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers for Leroy and his family.
