Second Annual DUCKY RACE Held

The second annual Ducky Race was held as a part of the Sauk Rapids River Days festival on Saturday, June 28th, 2008.  Participants adopted Duckys for $5 each and the top 8 ducks crossing the finish line along with the very last duck received monetary winnings.  The first place winner, Jack Machula from Buffalo won $1000.  The 8 remaining winners won $250 each for a total of $3000 in prize money.  The race was held in the Mississippi river starting just below the Bridge Of Hope. 

The Ducky Race culminated another fantastic 3 day event for Sauk Rapids beginning with the Pageant on Thursday evening, followed by the parade Friday and Food Fest on Saturday.  Stay tuned to DigElogSAUKRAPIDS for more Sauk Rapids River Days exclusive coverage of these events.
