2007 Events Schedule (Updated 7.6.07)
Mark Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28th down on your calendar to attend Hometown Pride Days 2007 in Cold Spring. This year's event will include something for the entire family.
"The planning committee has been working very hard since the beginning of the year and there's great excitement building for this year's event." said chairperson Lynn Schurman. "This year we have a number of businesses and organizations dedicating their time and effort to make Hometown Pride Days something extra special!"
Schurman announced a number of changes for this year's festival. "We're bringing many of the activities downtown again this year."
In recent years, the festival has been held in the parking lot behind the Gluek Production Plant. This summer, much of the Gluek parking lot will be under construction with a new water processing plant. So this year the Friday night dance, beer garden and food stands will be located on Main Street between the Legion Club and the Cold Spring Bowling Lanes.
Other changes include the Friday morning pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Cold Spring Area Chamber, will be held at the St. Boniface Parish Center. The Parish Center will also host the Hometown Pride Pageant available for young ladies ages 4 to 18. For more information and to register for the pageant you can go online @ www.cshometownpride.com.
The community-wide garage sales will go on both Friday and Saturday.

If you're thinking about holding a garage sale this summer, you may want to do it along with everyone else during Hometown Pride Days. Take advantage of the annual tradition where folks from all around the area come to town looking for great buys at the dozens of garage sales going on around the community.
CAR SHOW will be on north end of Middle School property along Brewery Creek.
This year's event will again include the Red River Run, the car, snowmobiles and tractor show, craft sales, the beer can show and the annual water ball fight down at City Hall. Gluek will be celebrating their 150th Anniversary and will top it all off during Hometown Pride Days with a special concert Saturday night that will include a number of nationally known country singing super-stars.
The kids will have a great time participating in the giant slide obstacle course, the lovable pet contest, the medallion hunt, face painting, turtle races, big wheel races and the kids bakery challenge. Kids events will be happening throughout downtown Cold Spring so check future articles and the Hometown Pride website for more details as we get closer to the festival.
On Saturday a first time Kickball Tournament will be held involving the entire family. The place is Cold Spring Ball Park and it should be a great time for both participants and spectators alike.
