2009 Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

The Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce and Rich Spring Golf Club hosted their annual Chamber Golf Tournament fundraiser on July 10, 2009. Thirteen foursomes took the course on a beautiful Friday afternoon. In this story you’ll hear from chamber member and Tournament Chairman Jim Eiynck as he tells us about this great event. You’ll also hear from Chamber Board Member Tony Nathe. Not only were there golf games, but throughout the day Nathe conducted a trivia game where participants could win extra door prizes. ROCORI Boys Golf Team- Pre-season Update

In the Land of ROCORI, when we discuss some of the latest sports news, we often talk about the baseball team or the football team, or maybe even the softball team. In this story, you’ll hear from Boy’s Golf Coach Paul Court as he gives us a preview to the 2009 season. Last year, the team made a nice run in the section tournament. They gained a great deal of experience, which they hope can push them even farther this year. The team returns a solid core of players from last year, and there are many newcomers as well this year. In this story we hear from Jim Eiynck, a Cold Spring chamber of commerce member as well as the Chair of the 2008 Chamber Golf Tournament. Jim tells us about this fabulous event that serves as the only major fundraiser the chamber holds all year. Many teams signed up for the event and although the weather was a bit hot, a nice breeze welcomed the players onto the course. All of the proceeds of this event go to the chamber and are then allocated in ways that seek to better the Cold Spring area. Many thanks go out to all that helped with this event, especially Rich Spring Golf Course. The Cold Spring Chamber numbers just under 100 members and continues to grow each and every year.

In this story you’ll meet ROCORI golf coach Paul Court. Coach Court tells us about the exciting program that ROCORI is building. The team is comprised of many young players that are very much, equally talented. Due to the realignment of the sections this year, it is quite possible that the ROCORI golf team could make a splash in the post season.
