Every year various choirs in the "Land of ROCORI" come together for the whole community to enjoy in a host location. This year included the Saint Boniface Church Choir, the Peace Lutheran Choir and the chorus featured in this story, the String O Pearls. Dr. Mary Jo Femrite, owner of Lakes Eye Clinic, is originally from Cold
Spring. Daughter of Bob and Darlene Dockendorf, she attended Rocori
High School graduating in 1992. During high school she was active in
track, cross country and spent time waiting tables at the Red River
Inn. Dr. Femrite is active in the Minnesota Optometric Association and
the American Academy of Optometry, presenting several case reports and
research studies at national meetings. She is very excited and honored
to have the opportunity to return to Cold Spring to serve the eye care
needs of the community.
