Last week Friday, the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce teamed up with the Richmond Civic and Commerce to sponsor a local training for businesses.  The topic was:

• Grow your sales in a tough economy - Selling the Intangibles

Just under 20 local business owners and employees attended this training which was provided by Cheryl Kelley-Bowman @ St. Cloud Technical College's Customized Training. The workshop included a lively combination of lecture, group participation and break-out sessions.

Key concepts covered:

• The difference between selling tangibles and intangibles
• How to question to determine active needs
• Practical ways to position your service as the preferred solution
• Building an on-going revenue stream for your service business.

This training was provided as a part of the Cold Spring and Richmond Commerce organization's commitment to enhancing and improving the business environment in our local area.  Business workshops are provided twice a year for members and non-members.
