Waterball Competition: FOOD FEST-Sauk Rapids

In this story you’ll hear from Chris Hoffman, a member of the Cold Spring Fire and Rescue Department. The Department made their annual trip to the Sauk Rapids Food Festival just across the river in hopes to repeat as waterball champions.

Waterball is a friendly competition where opposing fire departments line up across one another and try to push a basketball that is hung from a cable across to their opponents side. It is similar to tug-o-war but with hoses. In this story you’ll also hear some news about the upcoming waterball competition during Hometown Pride Days as well as the Firefighters fundraiser concert at the Gluek Distribution Center.
