ROCORI Boys Basketball vs Willmar SECTION FINALS

Here is the highlights to the Section 8AAA finals between our own ROCORI Spartan boys basketball team and the Willmar Cardinals. In the first half of the contest, ROCORI would jump out to a quick lead against a familiar foe. It would be the third consecutive year the teams would face off to see who would advance to the state tournament. Justin Udermann scored the first 5 for the Spartans but it was a very slow paced, sluggish first half.

SECOND HALF

In the second half Willmar would put up a fight. ROCORI would build a 12 point lead but fiesty Senior guard, Kyle Townswick would hit a number of key shots to cut the lead to 2. It was a slugfest and ROCORI's seniors would be the difference in the end.

When it was all said and done ROCORI would win by 3 to advance to their third consecutive State Tournament. They will face off against St. Michael on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. This season so far has been a magical one and they look to keep the season going for one more fun filled weekend.
