River Lakes Varsity Girls Hockey vs St. Cloud Tech

Its the start of the game between the River Lakes Stars and the St. Cloud Tech Tigers. River Lakes would come out with some pressure early on and keep it up throughout the first period. They would, however, let a few pucks slide past and find themselves down by a couple of goals early on.

The River Lakes Stars trail by 2 after the first period.  In the second they would try and mount a comeback against the Tigers. Blythe Sjoberg would score a power play goal for the Stars and cut the lead to just one goal.
It's the final period of a difficult game for out River Lakes Stars. It was a weird game for them as they would have good pressure and get good shots on goal but just weren't  able to get more than one by the Tech goalie.

River Lakes vs Shakopee – GIRLS HOCKEY

Its a brand new season for the girls hockey team wearing the Stars jerseys. They start the season at home against the very tough Shakopee Sabres. River Lakes would have to play catch up throughout the game. Their first period play showed some great intensity.
It's the second period of the game and the girls trailed by one. The second period would go the way of the Shakopee Sabres as they would pull ahead from the River Lakes girls .

The final period would be the best that the River Lakes Stars would play all game. They would not allow another goal in the final frame. It was a good start for a very young team. There is great expectations that the team can build and move forward to great things this year.
