In the second part of this story you’ll again hear from Jerry Sparby, Cold Spring Elementary Principal, who strongly encourages parents to get directly involved in their children’s lives. His message supports the idea of playing with your children.  From throwing a baseball back and forth, to playing a favorite board or card game.  The key is playful experiences where parents socially interact with their children.

Sparby recommends 3 outstanding books for interested parents:
In addition, Sparby illustrates the importance of monitoring your children’s activity on the Internet because as we all know, children are always curious. Finally, Jerry provides support to the new technology student interaction system being used in Greg Spanier's 5th grade class.  DigElog ROCORI would like to thank Principal Jerry Sparby for his years of dedication and commitment to working with the kids and parents of this community.

In this story you’ll hear from Jerry Sparby, Cold Spring Elementary Principal, strongly encourages parents to get directly involved in their children’s lives. His message illustrates the difference between just being “with” your child and being “involved with” your child.

In addition, Sparby points out that just because your child may seem happy with his/her friends outside of the home, does not mean that they don’t need parental attention, care, guidance, etc. DigElog ROCORI would like to thank Principal Jerry Sparby for his years of dedication and commitment to working with the kids and parents of this community.
