On Tuesday September 25, 2007 the landscape of the video game industry was forever changed with the release of the third installment of the epic series, Halo. All over the globe, gamers flocked to local media merchants to purchase their copy of the game. The Halo 3 release did so well that it broke the record for sales by an entertainment product over a twenty-four hour period. This story features footage from a Halo 3 release party that was held at the Parkwood Theater in St Cloud, MN.

Last week members of the Cold Spring community enjoyed the sweet sounds of legendary musical group, The Killer Hayseeds. The group was recently inducted into Minnesota’s Rock and Country Hall of Fame, and they are a great bunch of guys. While she may be small in stature, Alise is known as “the beast” in the BMX world because of the speed and strength she possesses. Nothing signifies fun times more than good rock music, a tasty plate of food, and a cold beer. Last week the Bear Creek Tavern welcomed thirty-two video game whizzes to compete in their first ever Guitar Hero II tournament. This story features coverage of the event as well as an interview with the winner of the tournament. Bear Creek plans to host another tournament and they are encouraging twenty-one plus members from the St Cloud and surrounding communities to come out and compete.
