A Memorial Service will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN for Donald N. Peters, age 59, who died unexpectedly at his home from natural causes. Deacon Joe Kresky will officiate. Inurnment will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery at a later date.
Relatives and friends may call from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Don was born in St. Cloud, MN to Clem and Dorothy (Leither) Peters. He received a Purple Heart medal while serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Don worked in the granite industry for most of his life. He loved to hunt, fish, and most of all - gardening was his pride and joy! He enjoyed raising and training hunting dogs. He kept area residents well stocked with fish, garden produce and flowers. He was a member of the Vietnam Last Man’s Club.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy of Cold Spring; sisters, Kathy (Jeff) Cziok of Sartell, Joan (Robert) Streater of North Branch and brother, Pat of Cold Spring; nephews, Adam and Alex Streater; his dog, Max; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clem (7-28-83) and his grandparents.
